Great idea, not executed very well

I found the steel wire soldered inside took up half the room for the coil you want to cut. There's no explanation of what that wire is for. Also I used a hacksaw to angle the bottom of the slot for the saw blade at 45 degrees, to make sawing easier. It's 90 degrees when you first get the pliers, so you could end up cutting the jump rings in half, rather than just separating them!!!

A unique tool that holds a wire coil so that it can be cut into jump rings. 

Constructed from stainless steel, Coil Cutting Pliers feature jaws that 

firmly, though gently, grasp coils ranging from 4.5 to 9 mm outside diameter.
 
A slit is machined into both jaws through which a 2/0 jeweller’s saw blade is

 inserted to saw the coil, thus forming multiple jump rings.

Overall length is around 7 inches.
